Call for Essays

Exceptional Oncology Nurse Navigators

 

Are you an exceptional oncology nurse navigator (ONN) whose compassion, expertise and navigation skills have made a difference in a patient’s or family member’s cancer journey? Would you like to attend NCONN’s 1st Annual Changing the Face of Cancer Care Conference, but due to financial constraints are unable to attend? NCONN is seeking essays for this year’s 1st Annual Conference “Changing the Face of Cancer Care”. Five essays will be selected for a scholarship to attend this year’s conference, valued at $125 for members and $150 for nonmembers.

 

Each submission must include your name, address, telephone number, email, credentials, and place of employment. Your essay should be no longer than 250 words.

 

Essays must be received via email no later than midnight September 11, 2009. Selected awardees will be notified via email or phone no later than September 18, 2009. Send completed essays to [email protected]

 

Award Rules:
Each essay will be no longer than 250-300 words and should express how you as an ONN have made a difference either in a patient or family members cancer care experience. A panel will choose the essay, which best-exemplified how you as an ONN made a difference. The essays selected will receive free entrance into NCONN’s 1st Annual Changing the Face of Cancer Care Conference. Essays selected will cover the entrance fee into the conference, but does not include travel or other out of pocket expenses.
