Oncology/GI Nurse Navigator

We are currently seeking an Oncology/GI Nurse Navigator.
Requirements:
- BSN required - MSN preferred
- OCN certification required
- 3+ years recent GI/Oncology experience
- Good teaching skills
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Proven leadership skills
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Current RN license in the State of Illinois
- CPR Certification
Provides a high degree of professional competence and demonstrates a high level of autonomy in a specialized field of nursing-specifically GI/oncology.
Specialization in nursing practice includes in-depth graduate study of relevant theories and scientific knowledge related to a select patient population (GI Oncology), which promotes ability to analyze and refine nursing practice and to generate clinical practice knowledge. APRNS's integrate education, research, management, leadership, and consultation into clinical roles, and they function in collegial relationships with nursing peers and other professionals and individuals that influence the health environment. The scope of practice will impact patient care through contact with patients and their support systems throughout the health-illness continuum.
